Documentary film "One Day in the Live of colonel Vasenin or
From Kabul to Pule-Khumri".
The footage was made in August of 1988
by Soviet civil specialist Alexander Egorov.
Summary: Soviet and
Afghan army units takes a trip from Kabul to the distant
garrison in Pule-Khumri city on two personnel armored vehicles BTR-80.
They are led by deputy commander of Soviet Army in Afghanistan -
colonel Vecheslav Vasenin.
The trip goes through Charikar Valley, Ulang, Salang, Khinjan and
Pule-Khumri. Nearby Charikar city bandits attack the units and
kill the general of Afghan Army. Colonel Vasenin arrives in Pule-Khumri city, where mujahideen blew up
the ammunition storages in Soviet garrison.
